Among the most impactful skills is the ability to converse with others with whom you are having conflict to achieve desired outcomes.  This webinar focuses on methods that participants can develop and practice to lead them through hard and uncomfortable conversations. As a certified Trainer in 'Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue’, Dr. Wang will introduce that framework as well as other tactics that participants can use to navigate difficult conversations.

This session is intended for persons at all levels of careers, In particular, we invite early career professionals who are interested in moving into leadership positions.

Biography

Dr. Lily M. Wang is the Charles W. and Margre H. Durham Distinguished Professor of Engineering and Technology and Director of the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction in the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, as well as a former President and Vice-President of the Acoustical Society of America. Since being selected for the Big Ten Academic Alliance’s Academic Leadership Program in 2013-14, she has advanced in leadership roles and led numerous classes and professional development sessions on leadership, teamwork, and communication for faculty, student, and industry groups.
