Sally McArthur served as the 2023 AVS Trustee Chair and is regularly invited to 'get judgy' by serving on awards, grants, and other panels. In this webinar she will take attendees through how to select nominees, nominators, and build a great application for the AVS awards and other similar career/service achievement awards that are available across the globe.
Julia Fulghum has previously served on the AVS Trustees and spends a lot of her time working on equitable approaches to hiring and evaluation. Following Sally’s presentation, Julia will discuss how to craft effective letters of recommendation that consider both the type of award and the candidate's accomplishments.
Who Should Attend
This session is intended for persons at all levels of careers who are interested in preparing awards packages, knowing about general award nomination processes, and writing nomination letters.
