Let AVS bring our short courses and qualified instructors to your employees either in person or online. AVS Short Courses range from basic to advanced levels and may be customized to fit your organizations training needs.

AVS Short Courses offer training for technicians, scientists and engineers, and is being offered to companies who are able and want to provide training to their employees during this challenging time.

Course Categories

AVS Short Courses are taught by industry professionals and offer training for technicians, scientists, and engineers in three broad categories:

  • Vacuum & Equipment Technology
    Topics Related to vacuum and processing equipment design, ooperation, and maintenance.
  • Materials Characterization
    Topics covering chemical, physical, and electrical characterization of films, surfaces, particles, and interfaces.
  • Materials Processing
    Topics covering materials processing, modification, and integration.

AVS Courses by Request

Complete the AVS Courses by Request form if you are looking for training for yourself at a future public online/onsite program. As requests are received, the AVS Short Course Committee will work to identify additional interested participants, and schedule the course(s) at a location and date that will meet everyone’s needs. 

NOTE: This form is most suitable if your are looking for training for individual or very small groups and are able to travel or participate in online public programs.
