Overview

Don’t see what you are looking for in our current AVS Short Course Schedule? Review the Short Course Catalog and complete the Courses by Request form for the course(s) you would like to see offered at a future date/location. Your request will be reviewed by the AVS Short Course Committee who will work to identify additional interested participants, and considered for scheduling at a location and date that will meet everyone’s needs. 

NOTE: This form is most suitable if looking for individual training or for a smaller group at a public AVS Short Course program.

Course Categories

AVS Short Courses are taught by industry professionals and offer training for technicians, scientists, and engineers in three broad categories:

  • Vacuum & Equipment Technology
    Topics Related to vacuum and processing equipment design, ooperation, and maintenance.
  • Materials Characterization
    Topics covering chemical, physical, and electrical characterization of films, surfaces, particles, and interfaces.
  • Materials Processing
    Topics covering materials processing, modification, and integration.
