AVS Prairie Chapter Symposium -

Join us for the 2026 AVS Prairie Chapter Annual Symposium at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Pyle Center, scheduled for Thursday, September 24,  2026. The event brings together researchers, industry professionals, and students interested in materials science and engineering to advance research and collaboration across the midwestern region. We welcome abstracts on surface and interface science, ultrafast spectroscopy, catalysis, quantum materials, energy materials, and all areas of diverse interest within the AVS community. Please consider submitting an abstract.

There will be $1,000 in awards available for outstanding student poster presentations recognized during the closing ceremony.

If for any reason you cannot attend the AVS Prairie Chapter Annual Symposium you must contact jkawasaki@wisc.edu or jmcchesn@anl.gov by September 9, 2026, to receive a refund, less a $5 processing fee.  No refunds can be given for cancellations after September 9, 2026.
